Venue Security & Ticketing Fraud Plays Prominent Role at FutureTix Symposium

Selden, NY – FutureTix announces its 7th Annual Symposium will be heading south to Miami, Florida. The FutureTix Ticketing Symposium will be kicked off with an optional networking event on Sunday evening, November 5, followed by a one-and-a-half-day program, which includes educational sessions and additional networking events.

Some of the 2017 speakers include:

  • Maureen Andersen, President and CEO of INTIX
  • Brian Roberts, SVP, Corp Dev & Strategy, Choice Ticketing
  • Ray Shealy, Chairman at TicketFire
  • David McElwee, VP of Biz Dev, Orange Bowl Committee
  • Derek Argobright, CTO, Tickets.com
  • Dave Howard, CEO, Brightline (formerly President of MSG Sports)

In addition, William Squires, a recently added Senior Consultant with FutureTix and an industry expert, will address the current trending theme of venue security.

“I am very excited to be providing my knowledge and experience regarding the security sector at the Symposium this year. As a result of world events, security for live entertainment venues is changing and it is imperative that everyone working in a venue thoroughly understand their role and responsibilities,” said William Squires, Senior Consultant at FutureTix. “The safety and security of those attending and performing in a venue, as well as the event staff providing a terrific ticketed experience, is paramount to the success of every event.”

The FutureTix Ticketing Symposium agenda will consist of several sets of panels with speakers from both the vendor and venue side of ticketing as well as plenty of networking time available during breaks, lunch and two cocktail receptions.  Relevant topics such as pricing and packaging techniques, the blending of the primary and secondary markets, innovative revenue generating technologies and marketing ‘next’ practices, along with much more will be discussed.

“We are particularly excited about this year’s event because of all that’s taken place this year.  With all the mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships in ticketing, there will be lots of new trends and technology enhancements to discuss,” said Dan DeMato, Principal at FutureTix, “Sadly, not of this year’s industry news has been positive and it’s an unfortunate truth that venue and ticketing security has become a relevant topic.  FutureTix has decided to not only feature a session about this topic at the Symposium, but also add this to the list of consulting services that we regularly provide.”

FutureTix has added onsite seminars for key topics including, but not limited to, ADA Compliance, Customer Service, as well as Venue Security and Ticketing Fraud Prevention to its consulting services menu.  These seminars are a valuable way to allow venues and organizations in the Live Entertainment & Ticketing Industry to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.  To learn more about FutureTix Consulting Services go to FutureTix.com or click here to Contact Us & Request a Quote.
